
Collegiate Management Group (CMG) was formed in 2001 by industry leader Rafael Figueroa. Mr. Figueroa is considered one of the pioneer's of modern student housing from his work developing the current Public/Private Ventures model used by various universities and developers today. Since then, CMG has grown to be one of the most well-respected and experienced operators of on- and off-campus housing in the nation. Our mission is to deliver "Fresh" student management concepts to universities, institutional clients, and private investors.
Our senior staff has experience in managing, consulting, and developing over $1 billion in student housing assets. CMG's Vice President of Management, Christina Aclin, is considered an industry leader in initial operations and residence life programming. During her eight years of student housing experience, Ms. Aclin has established student management services at several universities. Ms. Aclin uses her experience to constantly forge management concepts that create dynamic student housing properties.

Rafael Figueroa Collegiate Real Estate Services Group Rafael Figueroa, Founder and President, is a pioneer of the modern private, public ventures used by universities and colleges across the nation. Before founding Collegiate Real Estate Services Group (CRESG) in 2001, Mr. Figueroa served as Senior Vice President / Partner of JPI’s student housing division, where he created an on-campus division. Mr. Figueroa has also served as Senior Vice President of MPC/Sallie Mae and Director of Real Estate Development for the North Carolina State University’s real estate program. |

Richard Wygle Collegiate Real Estate Services Group Richard Wygle has over 21 years of extensive financial and administrative management experience in multifamily real estate, retail, and manufacturing. At Collegiate, Richard has responsibilities for Accounting, Finance, Payroll and Human Resources. Prior to joining Collegiate, Richard worked for JPI in the corporate accounting group to oversee the accounting of the joint venture with General Electric. Also with JPI, he spent several years overseeing the accounting for all of property management for their owned and third party assets. |

Chris Price Collegiate Real Estate Services Group Chris Price has been involved in commercial real estate finance/asset management for over 10 years. Prior to joining Collegiate Real Estate, Mr. Price worked at JPI, ORIX Real Estate Capital Markets, and Centerline Capital Group. In addition to his corporate duties, Mr. Price is responsible for asset management on all Collegiate Management Group’s properties. He maintains relationships with investors and banks related to Collegiate Management’s assets, approves annual budgets, oversees capital improvements, and manages property level financing and disposition strategies. Mr. Price also works with our market research department to determine key market drivers and differentiators in Collegiate Management Group’s markets. |

Christina Aclin Collegiate Management Group Christina began her career as a Resident Assistant and Leasing Manager at a private, off-campus residence hall in Austin, TX. She then became a Business Development Associate at Campus Advantage assisting with sourcing and retaining clients. During her time at Campus Advantage, Ms. Aclin provided market and investment analysis for over 35 properties in 31 markets, consisting of approximately 19,000 beds. As Director of Business Development, Ms. Aclin is responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with universities and private investors. |

Cliff Sandlin Collegiate Management Group Cliff Sandlin offers over 8 years of apartment management experience, with a proven track record of turning around troubled communities through marketing and re-training efforts. Mr. Sandlin’s creativity and concentrated student driven marketing campaigns effectively attracts residents to new properties and existing communities. As Regional Director of Marketing, Cliff will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to ensure optimum growth for CMG’s properties. |

Trey Verbick Collegiate Real Estate Services Group Trey Verbick has been involved in real estate market research for 12 years. Prior to joining Collegiate Real Estate, Mr. Verbick worked at JPI, Zom, MPF, RealPage, and Marcus and Millichap. Mr. Verbick is responsible for conducting market analysis on all Collegiate Development Services projects, both existing and proposed, as well as all Collegiate Management Group’s properties. He collects data on rents and occupancy, creates supply and demand models, and studies demographics and reversion rates in markets across the country. Mr. Verbick also works with our marketing department to determine key market drivers and differentiators. |
